FULL NAME: Cho Chang AGE: 20 DATE OF BIRTH: August 12th, 1979 BLOODLINE: Pureblood YEAR: NA HOUSE: Ravenclaw OCCUPATION: Ministry of Magic, International Affairs SEXUALITY: Heterosexual MARITAL STATUS: Single FAMILY TREE: Hai Chang, Mother: Yun Bao, Sister (younger): Jia Chang
ZODIAC: Ravenclaw Leos are brilliant scholars, loudly adding to classroom discussions and impressing others with the breadth, if not depth, of their knowledge. Many find themselves attracted, as well, to positions on the Quidditch team, partly because this lets them use their abundant energy, partly because it allows them to hog the limelight for a few hours while everybody in their House cheers them on. Their optimism and charisma make them friends everywhere, regardless of House affiliation, and their creativity makes them highly inventive in the laboratory.
…PERSONALITY;
When you first meet or see Cho, she seems a lot like the girl she was at Hogwarts. She always has a smile on her face, loves to laugh, and loves to be in the company of many people. She isn’t the popular girl she was at Hogwarts, but loves hanging out with a large group of people, absorbing the energy from the other people. She isn’t loud or outgoing, but she has a fun personality that (she hopes) other people want to hang out around. She seems shy at first, whenever she meets someone new for the first time, especially if she thinks them better than herself (which is most of the time). But, once she gets to know you, she loves to laugh and have a good time.
Her ideal day when by herself is lounging around her flat in sweats and tank top, reading a good book and ordering out. While she can feel alive exercising and playing Quidditch, she loves being lazy. If she gets a little lonely, she'll invite a close friend or two over to do nothing with her. They don't need to always be talking or doing anything, but Cho likes the feeling of just having someone else in the room with her.
Cho's insecurities come from her family upbringing, as well as the social peer pressure she felt at school. Her parents were always proud of her acceptance to the world's greatest wizarding school, but they were constantly keeping tabs on her progress and making sure she was making the "right" friends at Hogwarts. Cho wasn't able to start thinking for herself until she met Cedric, who helped her to realize she had more potential then even her family knew. After her death and the start of Dumbledore's Army, she knew what she had to do.
…HISTORY;
Cho moved to Scotland with her family when she was 9 years old. She grew up in Beijing, China and the move had a big impact on her. She grew up, knowing she had special gifts that some of her other friends didn’t have. Coming over to the U.K., she caught onto the language quite easily and soon received her letter from Hogwarts, the following year. Since her first year, she had always felt as if Hogwarts was her second home. Her mother and father were always busy working at the Ministry, so when at home, it was usually just her sister and herself. During her years at Hogwarts, Cho was popular with the other students, mostly due to her outgoing and friendly personality. After the death of Cedric, she had a year where she was the complete opposite. It was at this time that the full truth of the world seemed to hit her. She wasn't living a fairy tale that the other girls were jealous of; this was life and starting then, things could change. The year of her quietness soon gave way to her old self, but there was something different about her. A determination and maturity to help with the upcoming war against Voldemort. Her parents had to stand by the Ministry and their decision, since their careers depended on it. They forbid Cho from doing anything that would compromise that, but she joined the DA anyway; she knew what was right and that in the end, it would help her family. After her graduation, she thought she knew what her occupation would be: Auror. What other position could help protect her school and her world? But the day of her meeting, she met with her father for lunch and he told her the worries of International Wizarding Counseling. There weren't enough ambassadors to help go to other wizarding communities throughout the world to help in this war against Voldemort. That day, she made the decision to pursue a new career. Even though the war has past, her job has only increased with popularity. Now she travels almost every week, helping her supervisor, Tony, in negotiating and working through treaties that were made before the war.
…ETC;
APPEARANCE: Her favorite outfit are plain jeans and a loose T-shirt. She'll wear that when working, training, or practicing. But when she goes out on a night on the town, she'll glam herself up and her everyday, tom boy look will turn into a night beauty. She loves accessorizing her outfits with scarves, bracelets, and necklaces.
Cho is very short, barely five feet tall. She has a small, but athletic build to her. Her hair is very long, reaching a little lower than the middle of her back. STRENGTHS: Quidditch, studying, homework, dancing, playing the piano WEAKNESSES: Being herself and telling her friends the complete truth LIKES: Friends, fun times, laughing, drinking, dancing (especially in the rain), singing DISLIKES: Death, lonely people (she feels bad for them), depressing thoughts (even though she has them from time to time) MOTIVATION: Cedric; since his death, she's been motivated to be the best she could possibly push herself to be, whether it's with Quidditch, being a friend, or schoolwork. FEARS: Not living to her full potential
